PSG host Barcelona in Champions League last-16 first leg tie

Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani celebrates after scoring a goal during their UEFA Champions League Group A match against PCF Ludogorets Razgrad at the Parc des Princes Stadium in Paris

Nobody would have expected what we saw in Tuesday night's Champions League "glamour tie" between PSG and Barcelona.

Paris St. Germain has dominated French soccer, winning four straight Ligue 1 titles and all four domestic trophies in the last two seasons, but it has exited in the Champions League in the quarterfinals in each of the last four years.

"For me this is a good opportunity", Emery told reporters at the Parc des Princes on Monday.

Yet PSG still faces the prospect of doing worse than previous year unless it finds a way past Barcelona.

Plenty of teams in PSG's situation would have been content with their lead, but they were insatiable in their desire to win the ball back and so incisive in their attacking patterns. "My team is PSG - I love PSG". In the last five seasons, Barca have won five, drawn two and lost six of their away knockout games in this competition with only three clean sheets kept in that period.

It did not take long for Lucas to get involved in the action and the Brazilian had a super chance to score a fourth for PSG in the 65th minute, but the attacker could not beat Ter Stegen from inside the Barcelona box. They've been sleepwalking their way to results which isn't what we usually expect from Bayern.

At least 6 tornadoes touch down in Louisiana
A spokesperson from New Orleans-based University Medical Center said it had received seven people with tornado-related injuries. The National Weather Service determined an EF-2 tornado touched down in New Orleans East with winds 111 to 135 miles per hour.

The French giants continued to look risky after the break and they threatened just four minutes into the second half as Cavani headed a Matuidi cross from the left over the crossbar. While Dortmund have been struggling to win games, they've not been losing too often either with five of their eight league games mentioned above ending all-square.

His absence is another blow for PSG coach Unai Emery, who is without his most experienced midfielder Thiago Motta through suspension.

That result means Luis Enrique's side have now lost just once in 22 games although it was overshadowed by a awful ankle injury suffered by right-back Aleix Vidal which rules him out for the rest of the season. Aleix Vidal has played at right-back recently but he's out of this one, as is the reliable Javier Mascherano.

"Pastore? He is a lot better and trained with the squad this weekend, and he will train with us today".

"It's always a great privilege to contest a match like this", Emery said of the PSG vs Barcelona tie.

Emery sent his team out to strangle their ball-playing opponents.
