'The OA' Renewed For Season 2 On Netflix

'The OA' Renewed for Season 2 at Netflix

We have not heard when exactly the series will return for a second season, but it will likely be later this year. In a conversation with Vulture today, co-creator and star Brit Marling revealed that Netflix has picked up part two of the supernatural drama. The first eight episodes followed Prairie (Brit Marling), a missing blind woman who returns home with her sight restored, and a unusual, semi-unbelievable story to tell about her past.

Netflix also renewed "Love" for a third season. She comes back changed: she had been blind, but her sight has been restored, and she now calls herself The OA. Her story, as narrated to a group of enthralled teenage boys, encompasses near-death experiences, inter-dimensional travel, and some very unusual mystical dance moves.

Co-stars include Jason Isaacs, Emory Cohen, Scott Wilson, Alice Krige, Patrick Gibson, Brandon MEyer, Ian Alexander and Phyllis Smith.

What questions do you hope will be answered by The OA in season 2? But in an interview with TheWrap following the show's debut, Batmanglij teased that he and Marling had a plan for the series to continue should it be picked up for more episodes.

Netflix confirmed the news with a brief announcement teaser, dubbing the next chapter "Part II" and promising in a tagline that "something always survives".
