Google is all set to unveil Android Wear 2.0 on February 8, along with the LG Watch Sport and the LG Watch Style. The LG Watch Sport comes with a 1.38-inch P-OLED display with an ambient light sensor, but no "flat tire", a 430 mAh battery, and a host of electronic gadgetry including support for LTE, GPS, NFC and a heart-rate monitor. First of all, those of you who've chose to go for Huawei's smartwatches will be pleased to know the Chinese company will have the following products updated to Android Wear 2.0: Huawei Watch and Huawei Watch Ladies. The most prominent takeaway would be Android Wear 2.0 supporting stand-alone apps that would run sans tethering with a compatible phone.
Official screenshots of Android Pay in the Google Play Store are already available. This smartwatch looks like any other watch in the market with its circular design and a single button on the side. Android Wear 2.0 will bring in a new on-screen keyboard which will let you reply to texts and notifications from chat apps using your voice, saving you the effort of trying to type on your smartwatch.
Geekbench also lists the LG Watch Sport with 768 MB of RAM, which should be more than enough for smartwatch functionality. And both devices feature an Apple-inspired "digital crown" rotating power button. The LG Watch Style will come in silver, titanium and rose gold cases and gets a leather band. According to company sources, Huawei's second smartwatch will launch shortly and will release in the United Kingdom anytime between April and May of this year. Just days before the purported February 9 debut, the LG Watch Sport has surfaced on a benchmarking site, giving another sneak peek into what to expect. Meanwhile, a report on Android Police claims the Watch Sport will launch with a price of $349 ( or approx Rs 23,447), the less feature-packed LG Watch Style is priced at $249 ( or approx Rs 16,729).
